Health Talk with Boda Boda Security Team – Held Near Hill Breeze Hotel

Today our team conducted a health talk with the Boda Boda Security team, focusing on empowering them with vital health information.

The discussion covered:

✔️ The importance of HIV testing

✔️ PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis)

✔️ PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis)

We appreciate their active participation and commitment to promoting safety and wellness within the community. Together, we continue building awareness and encouraging healthy practices.


Health Talk at Gulu Village – 19th November 2025

Today our team from Shirikisho Dispensary held a health talk at Gulu Village, engaging community leaders on key health topics that impact our daily lives.

The session focused on:
✔️ Hygiene and safe drinking water
✔️ HIV prevention
✔️ SHA registration and implementation at Shirikisho Dispensary

We appreciate the warm reception from the leaders and their commitment to improving the health and well-being of the community. Together, we continue strengthening awareness and promoting healthier living for all.



Today, under the Home-Based Care program, our team reached out to Kamuga Village and conducted a comprehensive health talk with teen mothers. 

The session focused on two key areas: **HIV prevention** and the importance of **cervical cancer screening**.

During the health talk, the team educated the young mothers on practical strategies for preventing HIV infection. The discussion also highlighted how early detection and treatment can greatly improve quality of life.

In addition, the team emphasized the significance of cervical cancer screening, explaining how routine screening can help detect early changes before they become serious.

This outreach is part of OIP’s commitment to (prevention, education, and empowering vulnerable groups), ensuring that teen mothers are equipped with accurate information, confidence, and access to essential health services.



On 17th November 2025, the staff of Shirikisho Dispensary carried out an important health talk at Guu stage targeting the bodaboda riders. The session focused on HIV prevention, aiming to increase awareness and promote safer practices among this highly mobile and socially active group. During the engagement, the team educated the riders on the modes of HIV transmission, regular testing, and the availability of preventive measures such as Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP). The staff also encouraged the participants to seek early treatment and support those living with HIV without stigma. This outreach activity reflects Shirikisho Dispensary’s continuous commitment to community health education and disease prevention.
